Accretion definition

Accretion means the natural buildup of shoreline through the gradual deposit of alluvium. The general principle of common law applicable is that a riparian or littoral owner gains by accretion and reliction, and loses by erosion. Boundary lines generally will change with accretion.
Accretion means the process of gradual and imperceptible additions of sand, sediment, or other material to riparian lands made by the natural action of water which results in dry lands formerly covered by water.
Accretion means, with respect to any Compound Interest Bond or Convertible Deferred Interest Bond, the amount by which the current Accreted Value exceeds the Issuance Amount of such Bond.
