Act of Terrorism definition

Act of Terrorism means an act, including but not limited to the use of force or violence, by any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organization or government(s) which is committed for political, religious, ideological, or ethnic purposes or reasons including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public, in fear.

Act of Terrorism means a willful and deliberate act that is all of the following:

Act of Terrorism means an act of any person directed towards the overthrowing or influencing of any government de jure or de facto, or the inducement of fear in or the disruption of the economic system of any society, by force or by violence, including (i) the hijacking or destruction of any conveyance (including an aircraft, vessel, or vehicle), transportation infrastructure or building, (ii) the seizing or detaining, and threatening to kill, injure, or continue to detain, or the assassination of, another individual, (iii) the use of any (a) biological agent, chemical agent, or nuclear weapon or device, or (b) explosive or firearm, with intent to endanger, directly or indirectly, the safety of one or more individuals or to cause substantial damage to property and (iv) a credible threat, attempt, or conspiracy to do any of the foregoing.

• Provided that, Exclusion 3.21 also excludes loss, damage, liability, cost or expense of any nature directly or indirectly caused by, resulting from or in connection with any action taken in controlling, preventing, suppressing or in any way relating to any Act of Terrorism.

Act of Terrorism means an act or threat of violence or an act harmful to human life, tangible or intangible property or infrastructure with the intention or effect of influencing any government or putting the public or any section of the public in fear.

Act of Terrorism means any act that is certified by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Attorney General of the United States, as meeting all of the following requirements:

Act of Terrorism means the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians, harmful to human life, tangible or intangible property or infrastructure in order to attain goals that are political, economical, religious or racial interests; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear. Terrorism shall also include any act which is verified or recognized by the relevant Government as an act of Terrorism.

Act of Terrorism means the use of force or violence or the threat of such, intended to cause or resulting in property damage, personal injury or disturbance, or action which endangers human life or property when the action is directed against an individual, property or authority, and its expressed or otherwise obvious aim is the attainment of financial, ethnic, nationalist, political, racial, religious or other goals.

Act of Terrorism means an act of do- mestic or international terrorism as defined in section 2331;’’.
