ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS definition

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS or “APPs” means a type of provider who provides a medical level of care or performs surgical tasks consistent with granted clinical privileges, but who may be required by law and/or the Hospital to exercise some or all of those clinical privileges under the direction of, or in collaboration with, a Collaborating/Supervising Physician pursuant to a written supervision, collaborative, or practice agreement. See Appendix A.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS means all those Allied Health Practitioners who are licensed or certified under state law, are granted clinical privileges, and function in the Hospital under the supervision of a practitioner(s) appointed to the Medical Staff. The Supervising Physician(s) is responsible for the actions of the Advanced Practice Provider in the Hospital.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS means a type of provider who provides a medical level of care or performs surgical tasks in accordance with New Jersey law, his or her clinical privileges granted by the Hospital, and the following practice guidelines:

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS or “APPs” means those individuals licensed by the State of Illinois as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Physician Assistant (PA) and any other disciplines approved by the Medical Executive Committee.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS means but is not limited to, Optometrists, Audiologists, Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Genetic Counselors, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Certified Nurse Midwives.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDERS means an individual, other than an M.D., D.O., D.D.S.,D.M.D. or D.P.M., whose patient care activities require that his/her authority to perform specified patient care services be processed through the usual Medical Staff channels.
