Appropriate Unit definition

Appropriate Unit means a unit of employee classes or positions, established pursuant to Article II hereof.

  • Appropriate Unit members shall be on the interview committees for applicants for positions within the Bargaining Unit.

Appropriate Unit. Teacher shall mean all professional employees of Independent School District No. 622, Maplewood, Minnesota, who are required to be and are certificated or licensed by the State Board of Education, or the State Board of Teaching, and also including pre-k teachers, school social workers, interns, physical therapists and occupational therapists, and including those on approved leaves of absence, excluding the superintendent, assistant superintendents, directors, associate directors, assistant directors, principals, assistant principals, confidential employees, activity directors, Chapter I Coordinator, or any substitute teacher who does not replace an absent teacher for more than 30 working days.
