Background Check means the process of checking an applicant’s arrest and conviction record, through any means.
Background means any information, documentation, designs, technical drawings, software (system and application software), algorithms, elaborated design data, technical or industrial data, tools, knowledge, know-how, trade secrets, equipment and services process, methodology, and any intellectual property therein, regardless of their support and whether or not protected by an intellectual property right, developed, created or acquired by one Party independently of the execution of the Contract. The Background shall remain at all times the property of the said Party and its affiliate(s).
Criminal background check means a state criminal background check and a national criminal history check through the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Background radiation means radiation from cosmic sources; naturally occurring radioactive materials, including radon (except as a decay product of source or special nuclear material); and global fallout as it exists in the environment from the testing of nuclear explosive devices or from past nuclear accidents such as Chernobyl that contribute to background radiation and are not under the control of the licensee. “Background radiation” does not include sources of radiation from radioactive materials regulated by the agency.
Supplier Background IPR means Intellectual Property Rights owned by the Supplier before the Call Off Commencement Date, for example those subsisting in the Supplier's standard development tools, program components or standard code used in computer programming or in physical or electronic media containing the Supplier's Know-How or generic business methodologies; and/or Intellectual Property Rights created by the Supplier independently of this Call Off Contract,
Working With Children Check or WWCC means the process in place pursuant to Relevant Legislation to screen an individual for fitness to work with Children.

Background investigation means the investigation conducted by a licensee or applicant to support the determination of trustworthiness and reliability.
Licensing representative means a person authorized by the Department under Section 5 of the Child Care Act of 1969 to examine facilities for licensure.
Root Cause Analysis Report means a report addressing a problem or non-conformance, in order to get to the ‘root cause’ of the problem, which thereby assists in correcting or eliminating the cause, and prevent the problem from recurring.
Project Results means all data and results of the Project.
Independent Software Vendor or “ISV” means a Person that makes available to Participants and Authorized Traders a system or platform offering smart order routing, front-end trading applications, an aggregation platform or a combination of the foregoing but that does not provide Participants or Authorized Traders with the ability to effect transactions other than through the Trading System.
Background IPR means any Intellectual Property Rights (other than Project IPR) belonging to either party before the Commencement Date or not created in the course of or in connection with the Project;
SBIIMSPL means SBI Infra Management Solutions Pvt Ltd .
Background Invention means an Invention conceived and first actually reduced to practice before the Effective Date.
SBIIMS s Engineer” shall mean The Civil / Electrical Engineer in - charge of the Project, as nominated by the V.P. & Circle Head, SBI Infra Management Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Licensed behavior analyst means a person who holds current certification or meets the standards to be certified as a board certified Behavior Analyst or a board certified Assistant Behavior Analyst issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc., or any successor in interest to that organization and whom the Board of Psychological Examiners licenses as a Behavior Analyst.
Milestones means control points in the project that help to chart progress. Milestones may correspond to the completion of a key deliverable, allowing the next phase of the work to begin. They may also be needed at intermediary points so that, if problems have arisen, corrective measures can be taken. A milestone may be a critical decision point in the project where, for example, the consortium must decide which of several technologies to adopt for further development.
DNA profile means a letter or number code which represents a set of identification characteristics of the non-coding part of an analysed human DNA sample, i.e. the particular molecular structure at the various DNA locations (loci);
Special categories of personal data means information about an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life or sexual orientation and biometric data.
Milestone means an event or task described in the Implementation Plan which must be completed by the corresponding date set out in such plan;
Key Project Personnel means the persons named in Schedule I (Key Project Personnel) and any replacement(s) approved by the City in accordance with ARTICLE 7;
Non-Participating Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist means a Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Work-based learning means opportunities and experiences that include but are not limited to tours, job shadowing, rotations, mentoring, entrepreneurship, service learning, internships, and apprenticeships.
Objective evidence means standardized patient assessment instruments, outcome measurements tools, or measurable assessments of functional outcome. Use of objective measures at the beginning of treatment, during, and after treatment is recommended to quantify progress and support justifications for continued treatment. The tools are not required but their use will enhance the justification for continued treatment.
list of accredited prospective providers means the list of accredited prospective providers which the municipality must keep in terms of paragraph 14 of this policy;
