Background Patents definition

Background Patents means copyrights, utility models, patent applications and patents covering INFORMATION.
Background Patents means (i) any registered patent, registered utility model or registered design right acquired or owned prior to starting the Development Work; or (ii) any application to register a patent, utility model or design right filed prior to starting the Development Work;
Background Patents means (i) the patents set forth in Exhibit 2; (ii) foreign equivalents that claim the same invention(s) and priority date as the foregoing, and (iii) renewals, reissues, and re-examinations of any of the foregoing.

Examples of Background Patents in a sentence

  • Nothing contained in this clause shall be deemed to grant to the Government any rights with respect to any invention other than a subject invention, except with respect to Background Patents, above.

  • As between the Parties, CRISPR will own and retain all of its rights, title and interest in and to the CRISPR Background Know-How, CRISPR Background Patents and CRISPR Platform Technology Patents and Vertex will own and retain all of its rights, title and interest in and to any Vertex Background Know-How and Vertex Background Patents, subject to any assignments, rights or licenses expressly granted by one Party to the other Party under this Agreement.

More Definitions of Background Patents

Background Patents means patent applications, patents, utility models and other statutory protection with regard to MR SYSTEM, APPLICATION, CATHETER TECHNOLOGY, PERIPHERAL TECHNOLOGY, SOFTWARE, INTEGRATION or the PRODUCT under which one PARTY is the owner and/or has the right of determination at any time during the term of this Agreement and which are not a DEVELOPMENT RESULT.
Background Patents means all patents, regardless of country of origin or issue, which are owned or controlled by a Party, that cover an invention directly related to the Purpose of this Agreement and which were not conceived or first reduced to practice in the course of the work performed pursuant to this Agreement.
Background Patents means Patents other than Foreground Patents.
Background Patents means the Bayer Background Patents and the CRISPR Background Patents.
