BLOCK TIME definition

BLOCK TIME means the time beginning when an aircraft first moves for the 20 purpose of flight or repositioning and ending when the aircraft comes to a stop at 21 the next destination or at the point of departure.

BLOCK TIME. The time beginning when an aircraft leaves the blocks at the gate under its own power or under tow for the purpose of flight until it blocks in at the gate at the completion of the flight. COMPANY SENIORITY: The seniority that begins to accrue from the date an employee is placed on the company payroll and shall continue to accrue during the term of employment. Company seniority shall determine vacation time, and all company benefits. DAILY RELEASE TIME (DRT): The release from a Pairing or Reserve Block without pay that a Flight Attendant may bid and be awarded on a voluntary basis. BLOCK TIME means the period of time beginning when the main cabin door is closed and the parking brake is released for the purpose of flight (unless the Pilot is performing a ground movement pursuant to Section 26.N. in which case the purpose of flight is not necessary), and ending when both the parking brake is set and the main cabin door is opened at the next intermediate stop or final destination.
