Canadian Prime Rate definition

Canadian Prime Rate means, on any day, the annual rate of interest equal to the greater of (a) the annual rate of interest announced by the Canadian Reference Lender and in effect as its prime rate at its principal office in Toronto, Ontario on such day for determining interest rates on Canadian Dollar-denominated commercial loans in Canada, and (b) the annual rate of interest equal to the sum of the one-month CDOR in effect on such day plus 1.0% per annum.
Canadian Prime Rate means the rate of interest publicly announced from time to time by the Canadian Reference Bank as its prime rate in effect for determining interest rates on Canadian Dollar denominated commercial loans in Canada (which such rate is not necessarily the most favored rate of the Canadian Reference Bank and the Canadian Reference Bank may lend to its customers at rates that are at, above or below such rate) or, if the Canadian Reference Bank ceases to announce a rate so designated, any similar successor rate designated by the Administrative Agent.
Canadian Prime Rate means, on any day, the rate determined by the Administrative Agent to be the higher of (i) the rate equal to the PRIMCAN Index rate that appears on the Bloomberg screen at 10:15 a.m. Toronto time on such day (or, in the event that the PRIMCAN Index is not published by Bloomberg, any other information services that publishes such index from time to time, as selected by the Administrative Agent in its reasonable discretion) and (ii) the average rate for thirty (30) day Canadian Dollar bankers’ acceptances that appears on the Reuters Screen CDOR Page (or, in the event such rate does not appear on such page or screen, on any successor or substitute page or screen that displays such rate, or on the appropriate page of such other information service that publishes such rate from time to time, as selected by the Administrative Agent in its reasonable discretion) at 10:15 a.m. Toronto time on such day, plus 1% per annum; provided, that if any the above rates shall be less than 1.00%, such rate shall be deemed to be 1.00% for purposes of this Agreement. Any change in the Canadian Prime Rate due to a change in the PRIMCAN Index or the CDOR shall be effective from and including the effective date of such change in the PRIMCAN Index or CDOR, respectively.

  • Each Swing Line Loan shall bear interest only at a rate based on the U.S. Prime Rate, the Canadian Prime Rate or the US Index Rate, as applicable.

Canadian Prime Rate means the higher of (a) the rate of interest publicly announced by the Canadian Administrative Agent as being its reference rate then in effect for determining interest rates on C$ denominated commercial loans made in Canada, and (b) the one-month CDOR Rate plus 1% per annum.
Canadian Prime Rate means, on any day, the annual rate of interest equal to the greater of: (a) the annual rate of interest determined from time to time by the Administrative Agent as its prime rate in effect at its principal office in Toronto, Ontario (or such other office selected by the Administrative Agent in which its Canadian lending operations are conducted) on such day for interest rates on CAD-denominated commercial loans made in Canada; and (b) the sum of (i) the yearly interest rate to which the one (1) month CDO Rate is equivalent in effect on such day and (ii) 1.0%; provided that, if such rate shall be less than zero (0.00%), such rate shall be deemed to be zero (0.00%).

Canadian Prime Rate means, on any day, a fluctuating rate of interest per annum equal to the average of the rates of interest per annum most recently announced by each Canadian Reference Bank as its reference rate of interest for loans made in Canadian Dollars to Canadian customers and designated as such Canadian Reference Bank’s “prime rate” (a Canadian Reference Bank’s “prime rate” being a rate set by such Canadian Reference Bank based upon various factors, including such Canadian Reference Bank’s costs and desired returns and general economic conditions, and is used as a reference point for pricing some loans, which may be priced at, above or below such announced rate). Any change in such rate announced by the Canadian Sub-Agent shall take effect at the opening of business on the day specified in the public announcement of such change. Each interest rate based upon the Canadian Prime Rate shall be adjusted simultaneously with any change in the Canadian Prime Rate.
