Certificate for Payment definition

Certificate for Payment means a written certificate executed by the Authority indicating the amount that the Trade Contractor is entitled to be paid in connection with each Trade Contractor Application for Payment.

Certificate for Payment means each certificate, in the form prescribed in Section 6.4 of these General Conditions, issued by Design Professional subsequent to an Application for Payment and in accordance with the Contract Documents evidencing the amount of the Contract Sum then due to Contractor.

Certificate for Payment means the amount approved for payment by the Project Manager after the receipt of the Contractor’s Application for Payment, as more fully defined in paragraph 9.4.1.

Examples of Certificate for Payment in a sentence

• If the work is satisfactory and in accordance with the specifications and Contract Documents, the Engineer shall issue a Certificate for Payment.

• The Architect’s final Certificate for Payment will constitute a further representation that conditions stated in Section 13.8.2 as precedent to the Contractor’s being entitled to final payment have been fulfilled.

• Such action by the Owner and amounts charged to the Contractor are both subject to prior approval of the Architect and the Architect may, pursuant to Section 13.4.3, withhold or nullify a Certificate for Payment in whole or in part, to the extent reasonably necessary to reimburse the Owner for the reasonable cost of correcting such deficiencies, including the Owner’s expenses and compensation for the Architect’s additional services made necessary by such default, neglect, or failure.

• Final payment, constituting the entire unpaid balance of the Agreement Sum, shall be paid by the CITY to the CONTRACTOR no sooner than thirty-five (35) days after a Notice of Completion has been recorded, unless otherwise stipulated in the Notice of Completion, provided the work has then been completed, the Agreement fully performed, and a final Certificate for Payment has been issued by the Engineer.

• The final Certificate for Payment will not be issued until all such warranties and guaranties have been received and accepted by the Owner, and a Certificate of Acceptance is issued by the Engineer.

More Definitions of Certificate for Payment

Certificate for Payment means the certificate of the Architect given from time to time in accordance with the terms and provisions of Section 6 hereof to fully or partially approve any progress payments requested in a Contractor Payment Request.

Certificate for Payment means a certificate substantially in the form of Exhibit A hereto and executed by a Person approved by the City Representative that is delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed and the Costs thereof, and requesting payment for such Costs from money on deposit in the Project Fund as further described in Section 6.5 of this Indenture.

Certificate for Payment means a certificate substantially in the form attached to a Supplemental Indenture as Exhibit B, approved by the Developer and the City Representative executed by a Person approved by the City Representative, delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed with respect to the Improvement Area #3 Projects and the Actual Costs thereof, and requesting payment for such costs from money on deposit in the Project Fund as further described in Section 5.3.

Certificate for Payment means, with respect to payment or reimbursement of Improvement Area #1 Improvements, a certificate substantially in the form of Exhibit A attached to the Reimbursement Agreement and executed by a Person approved by the City Representative that is delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed and the Improvement Area #1 Improvements thereof, and requesting payment for such Improvement Area #1 Improvements from money on deposit in the Improvement Area #1Bond Improvement Account of the Project Fund as further described in the Reimbursement Agreement and Section 6.5 of this Indenture.

Certificate for Payment has the meaning set forth in Section 9.2.

Certificate for Payment means the form signed by Owner’s Representative attesting to the Contractor's right to receive payment for certain completed portions of the Work in accordance with Article 9.

Certificate for Payment means a certificate substantially in the form of Exhibit B attached hereto approved by the Developer and the City Representative executed by a Person approved by the City Representative, delivered to the City Representative and the Trustee specifying the amount of work performed with respect to the Improvement Area #1 Projects and the Actual Costs thereof, and requesting payment for such costs from money on deposit in the Project Fund as further described in Section 6.5 herein.
