Classified service definition

Classified service means all employment positions in the City that are not excluded by ordinance, City Charter or State law from the provisions of Seattle Municipal Code Chapter 4.04 or the Personnel Rules adopted pursuant thereto.
Classified service means state employees and positions under the jurisdiction of the Oklahoma Merit System of Personnel Administration [74: 840 1.3].

Examples of Classified service in a sentence

  • If an employee has accepted severance payment and is hired in the State Classified Service or into a State-funded position caring for residents within two (2) years of acceptance of severance payment, such employee shall repay to the State the full net (gross less employee's FICA and income taxes) amount of the severance payment received.

  • Upon separation from the State Classified Service for any reason other than retirement or death, the employee shall be paid for a percentage of unused accumulated sick leave in accordance with the following table of values.
