Clinical laboratory services means the biological, microbiological, serological, chemical, immunohematological, hematological, biophysical, cytological, pathological, or other examination of materials derived from the human body for the purpose of providing information for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease or impairment of a human being, or for the assessment of the health of a human being, including procedures to determine, measure, or otherwise describe the presence or absence of various substances or organisms in the body.
Clinical laboratory services means clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology or other diagnostics testing services (including, without limitation, routine and esoteric clinical laboratory services (including genetics testing), clinical laboratory services involved with clinical trials, point-of-care testing, clinical laboratory services involving corporate healthcare and services involved with managing hospital laboratories) and information services involving the provision of data or information programs, services or products which substantially consists of laboratory or other medical data.
