Community Garden definition

Community Garden means and refer to a designated area within a subdivision common area set aside for use by residents for the growing of plants including fruits, vegetables and flowers. These areas may be segmented off for use by individual owners of lots within the subdivision.
Community Garden means a lot or part of a lot (publicly or privately held) that is cultivated by a group of people rather than a single detached or individual. Unlike public parks and other green spaces maintained by local governments, community gardens are generally managed and controlled by a group of unpaid individuals or volunteers – usually the gardeners themselves;
Community Garden means any planter, bed (raised or otherwise), or piece of land that is used to produce flowers, fruits, and/or vegetables as a community, neighbourhood or group initiative.

  • WMU hereby grants Gardener a non-exclusive, revocable license (“License”) to use the approximately square foot plot (“Plot”) situated in the WMU Community Garden (depicted on Exhibit C), per the terms and conditions herein.

Community Garden. – means an area of land designated for cultivation of produce or flora by a group of users. Generally, a community garden is comprised of multiple plots with different community members who grow produce or flora on specific assigned plots.
Community Garden means an area of land managed and maintained by a group of individuals to grow and harvest food crops and/or non-food, ornamental crops, such as flowers, for personal or group use, consumption or donation. Community gardens may be divided into separate plots for cultivation by one (1) or more individuals or may be farmed collectively by members of the group and may include common areas maintained and used by group members.
Community Garden means a piece of property, either on vacant public land or on private land, cultivated by residents of a neighborhood or community, or members of a homeowners or condominium owners association for the purpose of providing vegetables, herbs, fruit, or flowers for use of residents of the neighborhood or community or members of the homeowners or condominium owners association, and not for sale;
Community Garden means an otherwise undeveloped lot divided into multiple plots for the growing and harvesting of food crops or nonfood crops, such as flowers, primarily for the personal use of the growers, that is established, operated, and maintained by a group of persons. A community garden does not include (1) a garden or edible landscaping on a lot developed with one or more residences and devoted to the personal use of the occupants of the residences, or (2) a garden or edible landscaping on a lot developed with a nonresidential use, which garden is incidental to the primary use of the lot.
Community Garden means a garden located on public property owned or leased by the Municipality that is not a Boulevard Garden and is operated by a Garden Group;
Community Garden means a plot of City land which is used by a Garden Collective to produce food, native and ornamental plants edible berries and food perennials.
