Covered Family Member definition

Covered Family Member means a member of an Access Person’s immediate family who is living in such Access Person’s household. A person is considered a member of an Access Person’s immediate family if such person is a spouse, registered domestic partner, child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, sibling, or person with whom the Access Person has an adoptive or “in-law” relationship.

Covered Family Member means an employee's child, stepchild, spouse, domestic partner, sibling, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, grandparent or stepparent.

Covered Family Member means any family member who is a member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the National Guard or Reserves, regardless of where stationed and regardless of combative activities.

Examples of Covered Family Member in a sentence

• Any services on behalf of a Covered Family Member against the interests of the Member.

• No specific Covered Family Member has to meet his or her Deductible in order to meet the Family Deductible.

• The Member or Covered Family Member may call the Member Service Center to obtain a definition or explanation of any term used herein.

• The Plan does not cover charges to the extent that the Covered Family Member is reimbursed, entitled to reimbursement, or in any way indemnified for those expenses by or through any public or government program or applicable law, other than the program of Medical Assistance for Needy Persons (Medicaid).
