Covered Trip definition

Covered Trip means scheduled trips, tours or cruises for which (a) coverage is requested: and (b) the required premium is submitted prior to the Scheduled Departure Date.

Covered Trip means a) a trip by Public Vehicle where the entire fare has been charged to Your Account, prior to the accident taking place and b) a trip taken by You between the first point of departure and the final destination as shown on Your ticket.

Covered Trip means when a Covered Person is traveling more than 100 miles from his or her Principal Residence and such travel is covered under the Policy and is not excluded under the TRAVEL ASSISTANCE EXCLUSIONS set forth above.

Examples of Covered Trip in a sentence

• If the Insured Person is confined in a Hospital due to Infectious Disease during the Covered Trip, the Company will pay a daily hospital confinement allowance as shown in the Schedule.

• In the event of an Insured Person's checked-in baggage being delayed due to misdirection or temporarily displace caused by Public Common Carrier for at least six (6) hours after the arrival of the Insured Person at the scheduled destination outside Hong Kong during the Covered Trip, the Company will pay, subject to the Terms of this Policy, the Maximum Benefit stated in the Amount of Benefit stated in the Schedule.

• If the Insured Person effects coverage under more than one Generali Travel Insurance policy, annual or for single trip, for the same Covered Trip, then the Company will only be liable to pay for one covered loss under all such policies, whichever is highest.

• In the event the Insured Person being confined to a Hospital or a registered in-patient for treatment of a Bodily Injury or Sickness sustained during the Covered Trip, the Company will, subject to the Terms of this Policy, pay a daily hospitalization allowance of HK$500 up to the Amount of Benefit stated in the Schedule for the Period of Insurance.

• In the event of any accidental fire and/or burglary, the Company will provide indemnity to Insured Person by cash payment, repair or reinstatement, at the Company’s option, against physical loss of or damage to the Contents within Insured Person principal residence in Hong Kong which was left vacant when Insured Person is on the Covered Trip.

More Definitions of Covered Trip

Covered Trip means scheduled trips, tours or cruises for which the Eligible Person is traveling more than 100 miles from his or her permanent place of residence.

Covered Trip means a period of round-trip travel away from the Insured Person’s Home Country; the trip has defined departure and return dates specified when the Insured enrolls.

Covered Trip means a trip: • made by an Insured Person outside the Insured Person’s province or territory of residence; • that does not extend to or past: • the date the Insured Person no longer meets the eligibility requirements set out in section 3; • the date coverage terminates as described in section 4; • that was booked or reserved prior to departure from the Insured Person’s province or territory of residence; and • for which at least 75% of the cost has been charged: • to Your Account and/or • using Your Aeroplan points.

Covered Trip means a period of round-trip travel away from Your Home Country; the trip has defined departure and return dates specified when You enroll.

Covered Trip means a trip for which You request insurance coverage and pay the required premium, and includes:

Covered Trip means a trip: • made by an Insured Person outside the Insured Person’s province or territory of residence; • that does not exceed the Maximum Number of Covered Days, including the departure date; and • that does not extend to or past: • the date the Insured Person no longer meets the eligibility requirements set out in section 3; or • the date coverage terminates as described in section 4. Note: In the event of a claim, the Insured Person will be required to submit proof of the departure. Only a Medical Emergency occurring during a Covered Trip will be eligible for consideration. Note that the day of departure counts as a full day for this purpose. Exclusions: • A Covered Trip does not include any trip for the purpose of commuting to or from an Insured Person’s usual place of employment. • Coverage is only provided under the Group Policy if the Medical Emergency occurs within the Maximum Number of Covered Days that the Insured Person is first away from his or her province or territory of residence. Note that the day of departure counts as a full day for this purpose.
