Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards definition

Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards means the Version 4 Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Reliability Standards, CIP-002-4 through CIP-009-4, developed by NERC and approved by FERC, as well as any successor or additional cybersecurity standards for the identification and protection of Critical Assets and Critical Cyber Assets proposed by NERC or a successor ERO and approved by FERC.
Critical Infrastructure Protection Standards refers to the standards and requirements promulgated by NERC covering the security of electronic perimeters and the protection of critical cyber assets as well as personnel and training, security management and disaster recovery planning.
