Days in Session definition

Days in Session shall have the same meaning as found in the School Act Calendar Regulations (B.C. Reg. 189/93) as revised by the Ministry of Education at March 13, 2000 and;
Days in Session means, in respect of any school, the days in a school calendar year on which the principal, vice principals, directors of instruction and teachers of the school are scheduled to be available for instructional, non-instructional or administrative activities;
Days in Session means those days when school is officially open for staff or staff and students "Instructional Days" means those days when school is open for staff and students for instructional purposes within the calendar school year. This would include days scheduled for school and provincial examinations.

Examples of Days in Session in a sentence

  • Part-time teachers required, by an administrative officer, to attend a professional development day which falls on a day which is not the teacher’s normal work day shall be paid for one day in accordance with Article B.24 (Payment Beyond Prescribed Days in Session).

  • The information collected will be used to calculate the total days in session and total instructional time for each calendar as follows:• Days in Session = Number of Scheduled School Days minus Total Days in Session Lost Due to Strike minus Total Days in Session Lost Due to Act 80 minus Total Days in Session Lost Due to Other Reasons plus Total Make-Up Days.

  • The Ministry of Education and Childcare is in the process of updating the School Calendar Regulation to reflect the amendment by reducing the prescribed minimum hours of instruction by five hours.When the School Calendar Regulation is amended, Ministry records will be updated to reflect: • The reduction of hours of instruction by five hours;• The reduction of the Days in Session and Days of Instruction by one day.

  • Days in Session: Days in session should be increased to enhance legislative capacity, especially in bargaining with the executive.

Related to Days in Session

  • Days means calendar days unless otherwise specified.

  • Start means the day falling the Relevant Number of Index Days prior to the first day of the relevant Interest Period.

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • Commissioning Period has the meaning set forth in Attachment T.

  • 48 hours means 2 consecutive periods of 24 hours.

  • Commissioning means the process for determining the need for and for obtaining the supply of healthcare and related services by the Trust within available resources.

  • Calendar Days means days including all holidays;

  • 24 hours means a period of 24 hours including all or part of a day upon which banks are open for business in both the place where the relevant meeting is to be held and in each of the places where the Paying Agents have their specified offices (disregarding for this purpose the day upon which such meeting is to be held) and such period shall be extended by one period or, to the extent necessary, more periods of 24 hours until there is included as aforesaid all or part of a day upon which banks are open for business in all of the places as aforesaid; and

  • trade in services means the supply of a service: (i) from the Area of a Party into the Area of the other Party (“cross-border supply mode”); (ii) in the Area of a Party to the service consumer of the other Party (“consumption abroad mode”); (iii) by a service supplier of a Party, through commercial presence in the Area of the other Party (“commercial presence mode”); and (iv) by a service supplier of a Party, through presence of natural persons of that Party in the Area of the other Party (“presence of natural persons mode”); and

  • commencement means the filing of the first pleading in a proceeding.

  • within means "from and excluding a specified date and to and including a later specified date".

  • Date of Practical Completion means the date certified in the QBCC Form 7 - Certificate of Practical Completion in accordance with Condition 28.

  • Commercial sexual activity means any sex act or sexually explicit performance for which anything of value is given, promised to, or received by any person and includes, but is not limited to, prostitution, participation in the production of pornography, and performance in strip clubs.

  • Evaluation Period bears the meaning ascribed thereto in Section 7.4(d)(i);

  • Scheduling means the actions of Seller and/or its designated representatives pursuant to Section 4.2, of notifying, requesting and confirming to ISO- NE the quantity of Energy to be delivered on any given day or days (or in any given hour or hours) during the Services Term at the Delivery Point.

  • Practical Completion means the completion of the Project where the building is fit for occupancy and/or purpose.

  • Testing means that element of inspection that determines the properties or elements, including functional operation of materials, equipment, or their components, by the application of established scientific principles and procedures.

  • Service Commencement Date means the date the Transmission Provider begins to provide service pursuant to the terms of an executed Service Agreement, or the date the Transmission Provider begins to provide service in accordance with Tariff, Part II, section 15.3 or Tariff, Part III, section 29.1.

  • Remediation Period has the meaning specified in Section 8.2(a);

  • clear days means, in relation to a period of notice, that period excluding the day when the notice is given or deemed to be given and the day for which it is given or on which it is to take effect;

  • months shall be construed in accordance with Clause 1.3;

  • Stability (7) means the standard deviation (1 sigma) of the variation of a particular parameter from its calibrated value measured under stable temperature conditions. This can be expressed as a function of time.

  • Calendar means discrete temporal reference system that provides the basis for defining temporal position to a resolution of one day;

  • Commissioning Date means that date when construction of the contemplated Project is complete, and the Maintenance Term commences;

  • Commissioning Tests means all of the procedures and tests which, in accordance with the Reasonable and Prudent Standard, and in compliance with industry guidelines, practices and standards, are:

  • Planned means entered in the Working Timetable;
