Donation Bin definition

Donation Bin means a container used to collect of used goods and/or clothing and other items for donation.

Donation Bin means a receptacle located outdoors, within the geographic area that is under the City’s jurisdiction, and placed, installed, displayed, operated, used, altered or maintained for the purpose of collecting donated items from the public, including but not limited to appliances, clothing, household items, metal, paper, recyclables and toys, but does not include a receptacle located within a Building or a receptacle owned or operated by the City;

Donation Bin means an outdoor receptacle designed and used for the purpose of collecting clothing, shoes, linens, other textiles, and small household items from the public for re-sale or re-distribution;

• No donation bin (or box) shall be established unless and until the applicant submits the required information and obtains approval in the form of a Donation Bin Permit, subject to annual renewal, as provided in this Code.

• Administrative review of a Donation Bin Permit application shall include the review of all information submitted to determine the conformity with this Code.

• No overflow of any material shall be permitted from the Donation Bin, nor shall any accumulation of any material next to the Donation Bin be permitted.

• The Recycling Coordinator shall not grant a permit to place, use, or employ a Clothing Donation Bin if it determines that the placement of the bin could constitute a safety hazard.
