Educational Assistance Payment definition

Educational Assistance Payment means any amount, other than a refund of Subscriber Contributions, paid out of the Plan to or for a Beneficiary to assist the Beneficiary to further his or her education at a post-secondary school level.
Educational Assistance Payment means any amount, other than a Refund of Payments, paid out of the Plan in accordance with section 10(a) to or for the Beneficiary to assist the Beneficiary to further his or her education at a Post-Secondary School Level.

Examples of Educational Assistance Payment in a sentence

  • When an Educational Assistance Payment is made to the Beneficiary, the payment will include Government Funded Benefits in accordance with, and up to a maximum amount permitted by, the Applicable Legislation.

  • Each Subscriber undertakes to inform the Promoter of any change in circumstances of the Beneficiary (including any change of the Beneficiary or in the residency status of the Beneficiary) upon the Subscriber making a Contribution or a request for an Educational Assistance Payment to be made to or on behalf of the Beneficiary.

  • Further, an Educational Assistance Payment made in accordance with this subsection (c) but not in accordance with paragraph (a)(i) will be deemed, for the purposes of applying paragraph (a)(i) at and after that time, to have been made before the particular time referred to in this subsection (c) above.

  • The Promoter shall determine whether any condition precedent to the payment of an Educational Assistance Payment has been satisfied and such determination shall be final and binding on the Subscriber(s), the Beneficiary and to any and all other persons who may be eligible to receive moneys pursuant to the Plan.

  • Notwithstanding paragraph (a)(i) above, an Educational Assistance Payment to or on behalf of the Beneficiary may be made at any time in the six-month period following the particular time at which the Beneficiary ceases to be so enrolled if the payment would have complied with the requirements of paragraph (a)(i) had the payment been made immediately before such particular time.

Educational Assistance Payment means any amount, other than a refund of payments, paid out of an education savings plan to or for an individual to assist the individual to further its education at a post- secondary school level.

A “qualifying educational program” means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires that each student taking the program spend not less than ten hours per week on courses or work in the program. A program is not a qualifying educational program for a particular student if the student is enrolled in the program in connection with, or as part of, the duties of employment and the student is receiving employment income while enrolled in the program.
Educational Assistance Payment means any amount, other than a refund of payments, paid out of an RESP to or for a beneficiary to help finance the cost of post-secondary education.
Educational Assistance Payment or “EAP” means any amount that the Foundation may have the Manager pay to a qualified Beneficiary or for their account under the terms of a plan establishing an RESP in the Plan.
