Engine family definition

Engine family means a manufacturers grouping of engines which, through their design as defined in paragraph 5.2. of this gtr, have similar exhaust emission characteristics; all members of the family shall comply with the applicable emission limit values.
Engine family means a manufacturer's grouping of engine types which, through their design, have similar exhaust emission characteristics and respect the applicable emission limit values;
Engine family means the basic classification unit comprised of the engine and drive train configuration selected by a manufacturer and used for the purpose of certification testing.
