Factory Inspection definition

Factory Inspection means the Physical Inspection to be carried out at the Contractors’ premises of the Supplies and Services in accordance with the overall test and evaluation plan;
Factory Inspection means the process of inspecting the manufacturing premises, equipments, personnel, product and marketing documentation, quality control, process validation, verifying theprocedures and records related to the activities of the manufacturing unit etc for ascertaining the eligibility of a bidder/ supplier in the tender/ rate contract. Inspection will be conducted by an external team of officers of the user institutions/ funding agencies whose report will be final and conclusive. The term manufacturing premises shall include any place where the items supplied/ to be supplied to the KMSCL are manufactured, tested and includes any warehouse/ godown of the bidder where the products are to be stored/ from where the products are to be supplied.
