Family planning means services that enable individuals to plan and space the number of their children and avoid unintended pregnancies. The Oregon Health plan covers family planning services for clients of childbearing age, including minors who are considered to be sexually active. Family Planning services include:

Family planning means voluntary action by individuals to prevent or aid conception. “Family planning” does not include the performance, promotion, encouragement or counseling in favor of, or referral either directly or through an intermediary for, voluntary termination of pregnancy, but may include the provid- ing of nondirective information explaining any of the following:
