Family planning services definition
Family planning services means services for clients of child bearing age (including minors who can be considered to be sexually active) who desire such services and that are intended to prevent pregnancy or otherwise limit family size.
Family planning services means services provided to individuals of childbearing age to temporarily or permanently prevent or delay pregnancy including, but not limited to, birth control pills and nonoral contraceptives. The term also includes sexually transmitted disease testing. Elective abortions and abortifacients are excluded from the definition of family planning services.
