Fire Service definition

Fire Service means any deployment of firefighting personnel and/or equipment to extinguish a fire or perform any preventative measure in an effort to protect equipment, life, or property in an area threatened by fire. It also includes the deployment of firefighting personnel and/or equipment to provide fire suppression, rescue, extrication, and any other services related to fire and rescue as may occasionally occur.
Fire Service means any organiza- tion in any State consisting of per- sonnel, apparatus, and equipment which has as its purpose protecting property and maintaining the safety and welfare of the public from the dan- gers of fire, including a private fire- fighting brigade. The personnel of any such organization may be paid employ- ees or unpaid volunteers or any com- bination thereof. The location of any such organization and its responsi- bility for extinguishment and suppres- sion of fires may include, but need not be limited to, a State, city, town, bor- ough, parish, county, fire district, fire protection district, rural fire district, or other special district.
Fire Service means a Water Service whose flow is used to provide fire protection. "GPM" shall mean gallons per minute.

Fire Service means the Queensland Fire Service in existence immediately before the commencement.
