Food Scraps definition

Food Scraps means those Discarded Materials that will decompose and/or putrefy including: (i) all kitchen and table Food Waste; (ii) animal or vegetable waste that is generated during or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of food stuffs; (iii) fruit waste, grain waste, dairy waste, meat, and fish waste; and, (iv) vegetable trimmings, houseplant trimmings and other Compostable Organic Waste common to the occupancy of Residential dwellings. Food Scraps are a subset of Food Waste.
Food Scraps means unprocessed and processed vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy products, meats, and other residuals from food intended for human or animal consumption, and any compostable containers or compostable serviceware that are commingled with the food scraps.

Food Scraps means solid waste from fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, fish, shellfish, nuts, seeds, grains, coffee grounds, and other food that results from the distribution, storage, preparation, cooking, handling, selling or serving of food for human consumption. Food scraps includes but is not limited to excess, spoiled or unusable food and includes inedible parts commonly associated with food preparation such as pits, shells, bones, and peels. Food scraps does not include liquids or large amounts of oils and meats which are collected for rendering, fuel production or other non-disposal applications, or any food fit for human consumption that has been set aside, stored properly and is accepted for donation by a charitable organization and any food collected to feed animals in compliance with applicable regulations
Food Scraps means a subset of Organic Materials including: (i) all kitchen and table food waste, and animal or vegetable fruit, grain, dairy or fish waste that attends or results from the storage, preparation, cooking or handling of foodstuffs, with the exception of animal excrement, (ii) paper waste contaminated with putrescible material, and (iii) biodegradable plastic food service ware.
Food Scraps means inedible food, trimmings from the preparation of food, food-soiled paper, and edible food that is not donated. Food scraps shall not include used cooking oil, yellow grease or food from residential sources, or any food identified in regulations promulgated by the department in consultation with the department of agriculture and markets or any food which is subject to a recall or seizure due to the presence of pathogens, including but not limited to: Listeria Monocytogenes, confirmed Clostridium Botulinum, E. coli and all salmonella in ready-to-eat foods.
