Fraudulent Transaction definition

Fraudulent Transaction means any transaction which would be fraud or Laundering (regardless of whether an Electronic Authorisation Function code number has been issued by iKhokha to You) in terms of the common law or statute. Thisincludes, without limitation, any purchase and/or transaction made by anyone who is not the authorised Cardholder, or someone authorised by the Cardholder or the use of a Card which has not been issued by a bona fide (good faith or authorised) Card Issuer.
Fraudulent Transaction or “Fraudulent Transactions” means: any transaction that constitutes Fraud under the law and/or common law (irrespective of whether or not the Card Transaction was Authorised or whether or not an Authorisation code number was provided to You by the Bank); a Transaction that is processed using a Customer’s financial detail, account information or Payment Instrument which is not authorised by the Customer; or the use of a card which has not been issued by a genuine Card Issuer;
Fraudulent Transaction. A fraudulent transaction is defined as an un-collectable money transaction as a result of customer non-payment or fraudulent use, including but not limited to charge-backs and returns.

Examples of Fraudulent Transaction in a sentence

  • AVS is not a guarantee of payment and the use of AVS will not waive any provision of this Agreement or validate a Fraudulent Transaction.

  • Encryption is not a guarantee of payment and will not waive any provision of this Agreement or otherwise validate a Fraudulent Transaction.

  • Authorizations are not a guarantee of acceptance or payment of the Card transaction and will not waive any provision of this Agreement or otherwise validate a Fraudulent Transaction or a transaction involving the use of an expired Card.

  • If the Fraudulent Transaction results in a Chargeback, then the Chargeback shall be resolved in accordance with the provisions of the chargeback.

  • If the Fraudulent Transaction results in a Chargeback, then the Chargeback shall be resolved in accordance with the provisions relating to Chargeback as set out under these Terms and Condition.


More Definitions of Fraudulent Transaction

Fraudulent Transaction means a transaction that in common law or in accordance with any statutory provision constitutes fraud, regardless of whether Nedbank has given an authorisation code or not;

Fraudulent Transaction means any Transaction which, in terms of the common law or statute of the Republic of Kenya, would constitute fraud (whether Authorization was obtained or not) without it being necessary for the Bank to prove such fraud and will include, but is not limited to any Transaction arising from the use of a Card by a person other than the authorized Cardholder or the use of a Card which has not been issued by a bona fide CardIssuer.
Fraudulent Transaction means an unauthorised debit or misuse of the Customer’s Bank Account/payment instrument.
