Heat Rate definition

Heat Rate means the quantity of BTU’s consumed to produce a kilowatt-hour of energy, calculated as follows:
Heat Rate means, for purposes of this Agreement, the value obtained, in BTU per kWh, when the fuel input, on a Higher Heating Value basis, in BTU is divided by generation, net of Station Use, in kWh.
Heat Rate means the number of Btu’s used to produce one MW of energy measured at the Electricity Delivery Point.

  • Seller will operate and maintain the Project so as to achieve the Minimum Guaranteed Availability, the Guaranteed Heat Rate, Guaranteed Start-Up Time, and Guaranteed Ramp Rate in accordance with the provisions of Appendix 7.6 (collectively, the “Performance Guarantees”).

  • As an alternative, the applicable Market-Implied Heat Rate may be determined by calculating the market-implied heat rates applicable to the last three years for which data are available that are the farthest in the future, and performing an extrapolation.

  • The “Heat Rate Percentage” for the Project shall be the Heat Rate of the Project divided by the Guaranteed Heat Rate, expressed as a percentage.


More Definitions of Heat Rate

Heat Rate means, in respect of a generating unit, the ratio of the quantity of fuel consumed (Btus), measured on a “high heating value” basis, to the net output of electric energy (kW) as measured in any period.
Heat Rate. The number of British Thermal Units (BTU) required to produce one kilowatt hour of energy at the Facility.
Heat Rate means the efficiency of a Unit’s ability to convert fuel into power.
Heat Rate means a measure of the efficiency of an electric generating station, computed by dividing the total British thermal unit content of the fuel burned by the resulting net kilowatt-hours generated.

Heat Rate is the applicable heat rate amount in the Schedule of Credits and Charges.
