Hospital Confinement definition

Hospital Confinement or “Confined” shall mean the status of staying in a Hospital as an in-patient for medical treatment upon the recommendation of a Physician for a minimum continuous period of 24 hours prior to discharge.
Hospital Confinement or “Confined” shall mean being confined in a hospital as an in-patient for Medically Necessary treatment for a minimum continuous period of 24 hours upon the recommendation of a Physician for stay in the hospital prior to his/her discharge.
Hospital Confinement means admission to a hospital ward.

Examples of Hospital Confinement in a sentence

  • If the Hospital Confinement initially is not for the purpose of psychiatric treatments, the expenses in entirety shall be payable under Clauses 1 to 12 of Section A above.

  • This Benefit shall be payable for the expenses charged on psychiatric treatments (excluding Alzheimer’s disease, Senile Dementia, Parkinson’s disease or any conditions caused by or related to drug abuse or alcoholism) during the Member's Hospital Confinement.

  • This Benefit shall be payable for the charges as levied and published by a Hospital for the cost of one (1) companion bed during the Member's Hospital Confinement for receiving Medically Necessary western medicine treatment or services.

  • The Service Provider(s) may arrange and pay for the cost of an economy round trip transportation plus accommodation expenses up to HK$16,000 for a person chosen by the Member, or a relative if the Member is unable to choose due to his condition, to join him if the Member has been in Hospital Confinement abroad for more than seven (7) consecutive days.

  • Where the expenses involve both psychiatric and non-psychiatric treatments and apportionment of the expenses is not available, the eligible medical expenses in entirety shall be payable under this Psychiatric Treatment Benefit if the Hospital Confinement is initially for the purpose of psychiatric treatments.


More Definitions of Hospital Confinement

Hospital Confinement means that a covered person is registered as a bed-patient in a hospital and incurs a daily room charge.
Hospital Confinement means admission to a hospital ward, other than a lodging ward.
