Housekeeping Services means regular and daily cleaning, sweeping, dusting, hovering, vacuuming, moping, and wiping of rooms/ toilets/corridors/living areas/public areas/ yards and premises etc and dusting/vacuuming/cleaning of furniture, partitions, wooden cabin walls, railings, doors, windows & venetian blinds, racks, sofas, computers, telephones, curtains, wall mounted fans etc. The housekeeping services also include bed making in rooms and all allied services for making rooms fit for occupation on a daily basis and also on as and when required basis. It also includes routine daily/pest control activities in rooms/toilets/public areas/yards and premises etc and regular disposal of garbage/waste. It also involves outdoor chores, such as removing leaves from rain gutters, washing windows and sweeping doormats. Cleaning of drainages that could be normally cleaned, removal of blocks in drain pipes also come under this service
Housekeeping Services means services to be provided by the agency as per the scope defined in this document;
Housekeeping Services means:
i) Making of beds, including laying bed covers and keeping rooms aesthetically decorated in spic and span condition. Bed Covers, Pillow Covers, Blankets and hand towels/ bath towels to be provided by contractor as per the Contractual terms.
ii) Washing / Laundering all house linen (Bed sheets, Pillow covers, Blankets, Curtains, Towels, Bed Covers) hygienically using fabric softener etc as per the schedule provided. The house-linen will be ironed & changed on daily basis in occupied rooms (except bed cover) and or as per the schedule indicated hereto in unoccupied rooms.
iii) Laundering of large/small size towels and placing two in each bathroom of all the toilet blocks and replacing them with fresh ones, duly washed hygienically using fabric softener, on daily basis or as and when required.
iv) Instituting a fool proof system for tracking utilization of soft furnishings like pillow covers, bed sheets, towels etc. and ensuring adherence to washing cycle, which in any case should not exceed 60 washes.
v) Dry cleaning full length window curtains with inner lining provided by IOC in rooms, Conference hall, Banquet hall, Dining hall etc at least once in 2 months or as and when required/ directed by the Officer in charge.
vi) All the fittings, fixtures, furniture, furnishings, equipments, surfaces, ceilings, windows, metal items (Example: light fittings, switch board, fan, telephones, table lamps, table, chairs, bed, doormats) etc. will be cleaned with chemicals, detergents etc of approved quality at least once during the day and as and when required.
vii) All areas to be suitably disinfected by using disinfectants, spraying insect repellent / killer, room fresheners etc. at least once during the day and as and when required.
viii) Removal of tainted materials, used material from all Rooms, Conference Hall, Kitchen, Store, Toilets, Staircase and common areas, corridors and from all other areas of contracted premises from time to time and at least once in 24 hrs.
ix) Vacuum treatment and removal of stains, scales, deposits using effective, approved stain removers/ chemicals/ cleaning agents from all fittings, furniture, upholstery, fixture, all type of ceilings, windows, metal items etc. at least once in a month.
x) Polishing of wooden surfaces / brasso on the doorknobs / signages etc as and when required/ directed by the Officer in charge.
