Index Sponsor definition

Index Sponsor means the sponsor or publisher of an Index.
Index Sponsor means FTSE International Limited, a UK incorporated company which calculates the FTSE 100 and which is jointly owned by the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Times.
Index Sponsor means, in respect of an Index, the corporation or other entity that (i) is responsible for setting and reviewing the rules and procedures and the methods of calculation and adjustments, if any, related to such Index and (ii) announces (directly or through an agent) the level of such Index on a regular basis during or at the end of each Scheduled Trading Day or any Successor Index Sponsor, as defined in Condition 13 (Adjustments).

Examples of Index Sponsor in a sentence

  • Exchange Business Day: Any Scheduled Trading Day on which: (i) the Index Sponsor publishes the level of the Index; and (ii) the Related Exchange is open for trading during its regular trading session, notwithstanding the Related Exchange closing prior to its Scheduled Closing Time.

  • Scheduled Trading Day: Any day on which: (i) the Index Sponsor is scheduled to publish the level of the Index; and (ii) the Related Exchange is scheduled to be open for trading for its regular trading session.

  • Amendment to Section 6.8(e): The words "the level of the relevant Index at the close of the regular trading session on the relevant Exchange" on lines 4 and 5 of Section 6.8(e) of the Equity Definitions shall be deleted and replaced with the words "the official closing level of the Index as calculated and published by the Index Sponsor".

  • Valuation Time: (i) For the purposes of determining whether a Market Disruption Event has occurred: (a) in respect of any Component Security, the Scheduled Closing Time on the Exchange in respect of such Component Security, and (b) in respect of any options contracts or future contracts on the Index, the close of trading on the Related Exchange; and (ii) in all other circumstances, the time at which the official closing level of the Index is calculated and published by the Index Sponsor.

  • All determinations made by the Index Sponsor will be made by it in good faith and in a commercially reasonable manner by reference to such factors as the Index Sponsor deems appropriate and will be final, conclusive and binding in the absence of manifest error.

Index Sponsor means S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC.

Index Sponsor means either (x) the index sponsor specified in the Final Terms or such other corporation or entity as determined by the Calculation Agent that (a) is responsible for setting and reviewing the rules and procedures and the methods of calculation and adjustments, if any, related to the Index and (b) announces (directly or through an agent) the level of the Index on a regular basis during each Scheduled Trading Day, failing whom such person acceptable to the Calculation Agent who calculates and announces the Index or any agent or person acting on behalf of such person or (y) if no such index sponsor is specified in the Final Terms, then the corporation or entity as determined by the Calculation Agent that (a) is responsible for setting and reviewing the rules and procedures and the methods of calculation and adjustments, if any, related to the Index and (b) announces (directly or through an agent) the level of the Index on a regular basis during each Scheduled Trading Day, failing whom such person acceptable to the Calculation Agent who calculates and announces the Index or any agent or person acting on behalf of such person.
Index Sponsor means Frank Russell Company, doing business as Russell Investment Group.
