Indigenous Peoples definition
Indigenous Peoples means social groups with a distinct social and cultural identity that makes them vulnerable to being disadvantaged in the development process, including the presence in varying degrees of the following characteristics: (i) a close attachment to ancestral territories and to the natural resources in these areas; (ii) self-identification and identification by others as members of a distinct cultural group; (iii) an indigenous language, often different from Pilipino, the Recipient’s national language; (iv) presence of customary social and political institutions; and (v) primarily subsistence-oriented production.
Indigenous Peoples means a distinct, vulnerable, social and cultural group as defined in the World Bank’s Operational Policies and Procedures on Indigenous Peoples;
Indigenous Peoples means individual members of Indian tribes; other individual Native Americans; individual Native Alaskans, Native Hawaiians, and Native Pacific Islanders; and indigenous and tribal community-based organizations.

Indigenous Peoples has the meaning assigned by the definition “aboriginal peoples of Canada” in subsection 35(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982.

Indigenous Peoples means the indigenous peoples recognized as such by the Borrower’s Fundação Nacional do Indio, the National Indian Foundation operating in accordance with the Borrower’s Decree No. 4645, dated March 25, 2003, as eligible to benefit from the constitutional and other legal protection as indigenous peoples;
