Initial Setting Date definition

Initial Setting Date means, in respect of a Share, subject as provided in Product Term 3, the date so specified in the relevant Pricing Supplement (or, if that day is not a Scheduled Trading Day in respect of that Share, the next following such Scheduled Trading Day).

Initial Setting Date means, in respect of an Index, subject as provided in paragraph 2 of this Schedule, 23 June 2006 (or, if that day is not a Scheduled Trading Day, the next following Scheduled Trading Day);

Initial Setting Date means, in respect of each Underlying Rate on any given Reference Date, either (i) the date specified as such in the relevant Final Terms, or (ii) where the Final Terms so specify, the immediately preceding Reference Date (with the first Initial Setting Date being the date specified in the relevant Final Terms) or, in each case, if any such day is not an Underlying Rate Business Day, the immediately following Underlying Rate Business Day for such Underlying Rate.

• The following worked examples apply this Hypothetical Initial Setting Date USD FX Rate as provided below.

• The Coupon Amount, Coupon Rate, Coupon Threshold, Knock-in Barrier, Participation, Rate of Interest and/or Interest Amount may not be set by the Issuer until the Initial Setting Date so that the Issuer may take into account the prevailing market conditions at the time of the close of theRisk Factors offer period in order that the Issuer may issue the Securities at the relevant price and on the relevant terms.

• The USD/SEK foreign exchange rate as at the day preceding the Initial Setting Date of the Class A Attributable Warrants is not known as at the date of this Prospectus.

• However, for the purposes of these worked examples, we have assumed that such USD/SEK foreign exchange rate is USD 1 to SEK 6.5 (the “Hypothetical Initial Setting Date USD FX Rate”).

More Definitions of Initial Setting Date

Initial Setting Date means, in respect of an Index, subject as provided in Condition 5.2B(Disrupted Days), the date so specified in the Pricing Supplement (or, if that day is not a Scheduled Trading Day in respect of that Index, the next following such Scheduled Trading Day).
