International Event definition

International Event means an event or competition where the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, an International Federation, a major event organisation or another international sporting organisation is the ruling body for the event or competition or appoints technical officials for the event or competition;
International Event means the specified tournament named in the Policy. “IOC” means International Olympic Committee.
International Event means a hockey tournament, competition or match organised or sanctioned by the FIH that is contested by national representative teams.

Examples of International Event in a sentence

  • Any competitive results obtained in violation of this Article 5.6.1 shall be Disqualified unless the Athlete can establish that he or she could not have reasonably known that this was an International Event or a National Event.

  • Accordingly, by their participation in a Match or an International Event, such Participants shall be deemed to have agreed that it is their personal responsibility to familiarise themselves with all of the requirements of the Policy and acknowledge non-compliance with the Policy may result in disciplinary action being taken against them.

  • This decision may be appealed under Article 13.27 Any competitive results obtained in violation of this Article 5.6.1 shall be Disqualified unless the Athlete can establish that he or she could not have reasonably known that this was an International Event or a National Event.

  • Media activities may vary from each International Event, but shall include training sessions, school visits, personal appearances, photo opportunities and media conferences / briefings.

  • The Policy applies to all Participants for the duration of the International Event (from the start of the Outward Journey until the conclusion of the Homeward Journey).


More Definitions of International Event

International Event means an international competition, event or tournament in the sport of bowls in which two or more countries participate but excluding a World Bowls Event.
