JURISDICTION: VENUE definition

JURISDICTION: VENUE. LAWS: The Contract shall be deemed to have been made in the State of Florida and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the state. All actions or proceedings relating, directly or indirectly, to the Contract shall be instituted and conducted only in Dade County, Florida. The Contractor hereby submits to the jurisdiction of any state or federal court located within such county.
JURISDICTION: VENUE. The law of the United States and the State of Texas shall exclusively apply to and control as to: all disputes between Participant and Releasees; and, the interpretation and enforcement of this Agreement. Conflicts of law rules which might require the application of the law of another jurisdiction shall not apply. Participant and Releasees irrevocably consent to and elect the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Xxxxxx County, Texas. All legal proceedings shall be brought and heard exclusively in Xxxxxx County, Texas. Participant waives all right to trial by jury, and consents to all matters being tied by a judge sitting without a jury.

  • Base jurisdiction means the member jurisdiction, selected in accordance with the plan, to which an applicant applies for apportioned registration under the plan or the member jurisdiction that issues apportioned registration to a registrant under the plan.

  • Jurisdiction means a province or territory of Canada except when used in the term foreign jurisdiction;

  • Home jurisdiction means the jurisdiction that issued the driver's license of the traffic violator.

  • Execution Venue means the entity with which client orders, assets or securities are placed and/or to which the Company transmits Client’s orders for execution.

  • Original Jurisdiction means, in relation to an Obligor, the jurisdiction under whose laws that Obligor is incorporated as at the date of this Agreement.

  • Applicable Jurisdiction means the jurisdiction or jurisdictions under which the Borrower is organized, domiciled or resident or from which any of its business activities are conducted or in which any of its properties are located and which has jurisdiction over the subject matter being addressed.

  • Courts means the Ontario Court, the Quebec Court and the BC Court.

  • Venue means the premises as delineated and shown edged red in Annex A.

  • Exhibition Venue means the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre situated at 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai, Hong Kong or such other venue designated by the Organiser and notified to the Exhibitor in writing prior to the commencement of the Exhibition.

  • Eligible Jurisdiction means Australia, Canada, Cayman Islands, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.

  • Non-Cooperative Jurisdiction means any foreign country that has been designated as non-cooperative with international anti-money laundering principles or procedures by an intergovernmental group or organization, such as the Financial Task Force on Money Laundering, of which the U.S. is a member and with which designation the U.S. representative to the group or organization continues to concur.

  • Court of competent jurisdiction means a federal court, or a state court that entered an order in a child custody proceeding involving an Indian child, as long as the state court had proper subject matter jurisdiction in accordance with this chapter and the laws of that state, or a tribal court that had or has exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction pursuant to 25 U.S.C. Sec. 1911.

  • Supreme Court means the North Carolina Supreme Court.

  • Federal Court means the Federal Court of Australia.

  • State Court means a judicial body of a state that is vested by law with responsibility for adjudicating cases involving abuse, neglect, deprivation, delinquency, or status offenses of individuals who have not attained the age of eighteen (18).

  • Uniform Commercial Code jurisdiction means any jurisdiction that has adopted all or substantially all of Article 9 as contained in the 2000 Official Text of the Uniform Commercial Code, as recommended by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Law Institute, together with any subsequent amendments or modifications to the Official Text.

  • Pertinent Jurisdiction in relation to a company, means:

  • sitting means, in relation to a House, a period during which that House is sitting continuously without adjournment, and includes any period during which the House is in committee;

  • Ontario Court means the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

  • District shall hereafter refer to districts that have signed the Agreement for the 2022-23 Program year and agree to be financially responsible as a Cooperative member for the Program costs.

  • Trial court means the court or agency from which an appeal or judicial review is taken.

  • New York Courts shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9(d).

  • District Court means the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.

  • Youth court means the court established pursuant to this chapter to hear all proceedings in

  • Competent Court of Law means any court or tribunal or any similar judicial or quasi- judicial body in India that has jurisdiction to adjudicate upon issues relating to this Agreement;
