Launch Activities means the activities authorized by the launch license issued by the Federal government pursuant to the Commercial Space Launch Act.

Launch Activities means the activities carried out by either Party or the Related Third Parties of either Party under this Contract, which include Launch Services, any Launch Vehicle-related and pre-Launch activities beginning with the arrival of a Satellite Batch at the Launch Site, integration activities, and ending with departure of all property and personnel of Customer and its Related Third Parties from the Launch Site and completion of any Post-Launch Services. Application of the Government Cross Waiver will cease no later than thirty (30) days after each Launch Service, irrespective of whether Customer property remains at the Launch Site. Launch and In-Orbit Insurance means insurance procured by Customer covering the risks of Launch and/or the risks of in-orbit failures with respect to Partial Loss, Constructive Total Loss and Total Loss of a Satellite or Satellite Batch.

Launch Activities shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7.1 (Insurance).

Examples of Launch Activities in a sentence

• Contractor shall procure and maintain in effect insurance for third party liability to provide for the payment of claims resulting from property loss or damage or bodily injury, including death, sustained by Third Parties caused by an occurrence resulting from Insured Launch Activities.

• To the extent not covered by the third party launch liability insurance or eligible for payment by the United States Government pursuant to the Commercial Space Launch Act, SpaceX shall be exclusively liable to third parties for any death, injury, loss or damage to any Third Party arising from the Launch Activities caused solely by SpaceX or its equipment, including the Falcon 1e or parts or components thereof.

• To the extent not covered by the third party launch liability insurance or eligible for payment by the United States Government pursuant to the Commercial Space Launch Act, Customer shall be exclusively liable to Third Parties for any death, injury, loss or damage arising from the Launch Activities caused solely by Customer or its equipment, including the Payload or parts or components thereof.

• Duration of coverage for damage, loss or injury sustained by Third Parties arising in any manner in connection with Insured Launch Activities shall be in accordance with the Commercial Space Launch Act, its supporting regulations, and the applicable launch license.

• The Parties shall, before Launch, execute and deliver the Agreement for Waiver of Claims and Assumption of Responsibility, the execution of which is required by the United States Department of Transportation (14 C.F.R. Section 440.17(c)) as a condition of granting Contractor’s license to conduct Launch Activities and Launch the Satellites (“Government Cross-Waiver”).

Launch Activities shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.1 (Third Party Liability for Launch Activities).

Launch Activities means all actions associated with the launching from New Zealand of U.S Spacecraft, Foreign Spacecraft or N.Z. Spacecraft by means of U.S. Launch Vehicles, from the initial technical discussions to the launch site surveys, fit checks, spacecraft encapsulation, mating/integration, to the launch and return of the Related Equipment and Technical Data from New Zealand to the United States of America or other location approved by the Government of the United States of America and, in the event of a cancelled or failed launch, the return of U.S. Launch Vehicles, U.S. Spacecraft, Related Equipment, Technical Data and/or any recovered and identified components and/or debris of U.S. Launch Vehicles, U.S. Spacecraft and/or Related Equipment to the United States of America or other location approved by the Government of the United States of America.

Launch Activities means the activities carried out by either Party or the Related Third Parties of either Party which include all Launch Services, any Launch Vehicle and pre-launch activities beginning with the arrival of Satellites at the Launch Site and ending with departure of all property and personnel of Customer and its Related Third Parties from the Launch Site and Post Launch Services. Launch Activities means all actions associated with the launching from within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Australia of U.S. Spacecraft, Foreign Spacecraft, or Australian Spacecraft by means of U.S. Launch Vehicles, and the landing within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Australia of U.S. Spacecraft or U.S. Launch Vehicles or the launching from within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Australia of U.S. Spacecraft by means of U.S. Launch Vehicles or Non-U.S. Launch Vehicles, (including all activities relating to the reuse of reusable U.S. Launch Vehicle stages and subsystems, such as maintenance, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, reintegration, reassembly, inspection, testing, and quality assurance) from the initial technical discussions to the launch and return of the U.S. Related Equipment and U.S. Technical Data from within the Territorial Jurisdiction of Australia to the United States of America or other location approved by the Government of the United States of America and, in the event of a cancelled, anomalous, or failed launch, the return of U.S. Launch Vehicles, U.S. Spacecraft, U.S. Related Equipment, U.S. Technical Data, and/or any recovered and identified components and/or debris of U.S. Launch Vehicles, U.S. Spacecraft and/or U.S. Related Equipment to the United States of America or other location approved by the Government of the United States of America.

Launch Activities means the activities carried out by either Party or the Related Third Parties of either Party in connection with Licensed Launch Activities and shall include all Launch and pre-launch ground and sea activities beginning with the arrival of the Launch Ready Spacecraft at Home Port and ending with departure of all property and personnel of MSV and its Related Third Parties from Home Port.

Launch Activities means those activities to be carried out by Mallinckrodt in connection with the commencement of commercial sales of LeuTech Products in any portion of the Territory, which activities shall generally include those listed on Exhibit B attached hereto.
