Lecturer Faculty definition

Lecturer Faculty is defined as the group of faculty who are appointed as and hold the title of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Principal Lecturer whose primary responsibility is teaching at the Durham and/or Manchester Campuses of UNH.

  • Lecturer Faculty may use accrued Sick Time for the elimination period or to supplement STD at the 60% of salary level to bring pay replacement to no more than 100% of budgeted salary.

  • Faculty members retain the authority to make the final determination of the grade to be awarded to each student in the Lecturer Faculty member’s class, subject to relevant institutional academic policies.

  • For spouses and dependent children, the tuition benefit is available after the Lecturer Faculty member has been employed at UNH for one academic year.

  • Lecturer Faculty members who teach additional classes during the academic year shall receive 12% of their annual base salary (as based on 1.0 FTE) per overload 3-credit or 4-credit course taught.

  • No Lecturer Faculty will be subject to discrimination, discipline, or termination for reporting violations of health and safety requirements, or for reporting workplace violence or the threat of violence in the workplace.

  • The University System of New Hampshire offers eligible Lecturer Faculty members the opportunity to participate in a 403(b) voluntary defined contribution retirement plan.

  • Faculty means a Faculty of the University;

  • Classroom teacher means a teacher subject to annual performance evaluation review under the provisions of Education Law Section 3012-c.

  • Political fundraising committee means a "political fundraising committee" as defined in MCC Ch. 2-156, as amended.

  • Licensed behavior analyst means a person who holds current certification or meets the standards to be certified as a board certified Behavior Analyst or a board certified Assistant Behavior Analyst issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc., or any successor in interest to that organization and whom the Board of Psychological Examiners licenses as a Behavior Analyst.

  • Academic Board means the Academic Board of the University College established under paragraph 13;

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO means a licensed physician, employed with or contracted with the City, responsible for receiving laboratory results generated by the City's drug testing program who has knowledge of substance abuse disorders, laboratory testing procedures, and chain of custody collection procedures; who verifies positive, confirmed test results, and who has the necessary and appropriate medical training to interpret and evaluate an individual's confirmed positive test result together with his or her medical history and any other relevant biomedical information.

  • Student teaching means a supervised teaching practice occurring near the end of an applicant's approved program.

  • Peer-reviewed medical literature means a scientific study published only after having been critically

  • Principal Investigator or “PI” is the person, designated by University, and accepted by Sponsor, who is directly responsible for executing, directing, overseeing and reporting a Sponsored Project under this Agreement.

  • Students means students, their parents, guardians or other legal representatives.

  • Teaching means, for the purpose of Section 1 of this order, the profession of teaching under a certificate from the Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing or teaching in an accredited college or university.

  • Scientists means employees who are university graduates in the Natural Sciences, the Applied Sciences, Mathematics or Computer Sciences, who are not classified as professional engineers, and who are engaged in the application of this specialized knowledge in the course of their employment. This definition includes all incumbents in positions identified under the heading of “Scientists” listed in Attachment A to Appendix I entitled “Utilization and Advancement of Professional Engineers and Scientists” in this Agreement. “Scientists” includes employees who satisfy these criteria and who are required to perform supervisory functions.

  • Scholar means a player aged sixteen or over who has signed a Scholarship with a Premier League or Football League Club or licensed National League Club, and who has completed a registration form for Scholars in accordance with FA Rules and Regulations.

  • Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.
