Legal drugs definition

Legal drugs means prescribed or over-the-counter drugs that are legally obtained and used for the purpose(s) for which they were intended by the manufacturer.
Legal drugs means any drug, including prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs, that has been legally obtained and that is not unlawfully sold or distributed.

Legal drugs include prescribed drugs and over-the-counter drugs which have been legally obtained and are being used for the purpose or which they were prescribed or manufactured. An employee’s use of a legal drug may pose a significant risk to the safety of the employee or others. Employees, who feel or have been informed that the use of such a drug may present a safety risk, are to report such drug use to their Supervisor. Documentation indicating the related consequences of such drug use may be required.
