Life Safety Systems means components or combinations of equipment of Fire Alarm Systems, sprinkler systems, special suppression systems, means of egress, and other emergency equipment as regulated by the Fire Code, its regulations and this bylaw.
Life Safety Systems means any and all emergency lighting, audio and visual signals, safety systems, sprinklers and smoke detection systems, which are now or subsequently installed in the
Life Safety Systems. Landlord shall provide Class "E" fire life safety floor subpanels with adequate connection points on the floors of the Leased Premises for code-required speaker and strobe lights as well as flow and tamper switches for the sprinkler systems, in accordance with existing code. The panels are to be installed in proximity to the Leased Premises. The code- required speakers, strobe lights, flow and tamper switches, and other equipment for the sprinkler systems shall be part of the Tenant Improvements.

Life Safety Systems, which are the integrated systems required in all buildings having floors located more than 75 feet above the lowest floor level having building access, are not Fire Alarm Systems as defined in this Agreement.
Any changes to the fire alarm or life safety systems must be installed and verified by the Landlord’s Base Building Contractors as per National Standards of Canada specification CAN/ULC-S524-M91 and CAN/ULC-S537-97 respectively, to preserve the integrity of Life Safety Systems.
Scheduled interruptions to Tenant’s Life Safety Systems work, including but not limited to sprinkler and fire alarm, may be necessary to accommodate base building testing and approvals.

More Definitions of Life Safety Systems
Life Safety Systems means and refers to any and all emergency lighting, audio and visual signals, safety systems, sprinklers and smoke detection systems, which are now or hereafter installed in any improvements constructed upon the Properties, whether or not within a Dwelling. All such Life Safety Systems, if any, together with all conduits, wiring, electrical connections and systems related thereto, which are located outside of the Dwellings, shall be deemed part of the Common Areas.
