Lodging and Meal Expenses. 1. Employees in travel status in the performance of their duties shall be entitled to expenses of necessary lodging and/or meals as provided for in Section 40 of the Manual of Financial Procedures, Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy. Nothing contained in this Article shall be deemed to alter the present State policy prohibiting reimbursement for noon meals unless the meal is part of an organized meeting or program or overnight travel.

Lodging and Meal Expenses. 1. Employees in travel status in the performance of their duties shall be entitled to expenses of necessary lodging and/or meals. They shall be allowed actual reasonable costs of lodging and/or meals, including tax and gratuities, provided that with respect to meals consumed in Maine, the maximum amount which shall be allowed for breakfast shall be six dollars ($6.00), for lunch, eight dollars ($8.00) and for dinner, fourteen dollars ($14.00) or maximum per diem rate of twenty eight dollars ($28.00) per day with receipts. Notwithstanding this provision, employees in any MCC/System Office which, as of January 1, 1979, had a formal written policy providing higher limits reimbursing employees for meals shall have such limits continued. Lodging and Meal Expenses. For time spent in travel to the new domicile, a displaced flight attendant and each additional family member accompanying her/him in the move shall be paid per diem at the rate set forth in Section 7.B., above. The reason for this is that it will be next to impossible to get another church to take the cancelled date on short notice. • Certain “Acts of God” will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
