Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) definition
Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) means the variety of services and supports that help people with functional impairments meet their daily needs for assistance in community-based settings and improve the quality of their lives.
Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) means assistance with daily healthcare and living needs for individuals with a long-lasting illness or disability, including state plan services available to all Members such as personal care services, private duty nursing, Day Activity and Health Services (DAHS), Community First Choice (CFC) services, and STAR Kids MDCP services.

Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) means a spectrum of services covered by the Rhode Island Medicaid program for persons with clinical and functional impairments and/or chronic illness that require the level of care typically provided in a health care institution. Medicaid LTSS includes skilled or custodial nursing facility care, therapeutic day services, and personal care as well as various home and community-based services. Medicaid beneficiaries eligible for LTSS are also provided with primary care essential benefits.

Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) means Covered Services, provided in a Nursing Facility or under an HCBS Waiver, designed to help meet the daily needs of Enrollees who are elderly or have disabilities and to improve their quality of life. M anaged Care Organization (MCO) means, for the purposes of this Contract, an entity that has, or is seeking to qualify for, a comprehensive risk contract with the Department to provide Covered Services under the HFS Medical Program, as provided in 42 CFR §438.2. MCOs include HMOs and MCCNs. M andated Reporting means the required, immediate reporting of suspected maltreatment when a mandated reporter has reasonable cause to believe that an individual known to the mandated reporter in a professional or official capacity may be subject to Abuse or Neglect. M arketing means any written or oral communication from Contractor or its representative that can reasonably be interpreted as intended to influence a Participant to enroll, not to enroll, or to disenroll from a Health Plan. Marketing shall also include the meaning ascribed to it by HIPAA as defined by 45 CFR 164.501. M arketing Materials means materials produced in any medium, by or on behalf of Contractor or its representative, that can reasonably be interpreted as intended to Market to Potential Enrollees. Marketing Materials includes written materials and oral presentations. M arketing Misconduct means any activity by an employee or representative of Contractor that is in violation of any provisions related to Marketing.
