Local Traffic - Telecommunications traffic between a LEC and a CMRS provider that, at the beginning of the call, originates and terminates within the same Major Trading Area (“MTA”), as defined in 47 CFR Section 24.202(a).
MAJOR TRADING AREA -- The Major Trading Area (“MTA”) is defined as the local calling scope for interconnection and is based on the Rand ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ 1992 Commercial Atlas & Marketing Guide, 123rd Edition, at pages 38-39, with the exceptions contained in Section 24.202(a) of the Rules of the Federal Communications Commission.
