Final rate means an indirect cost rate applicable to a specified past period which is based on the actual allowable costs of the period. A final audited rate is not subject to adjustment.
additional rate means the additional rate levied by the City of Cape Town on rateable properties within the designated boundaries of the Special Rating Area for purposes of raising funds for improving and upgrading that area, subject to any exemptions or permissible differentiation between categories of property, as contemplated in section 22(1) of the Rates Act, read with sections 8(1) and 12(2) of the By-Law;
Initial Rate means each rate of interest to be paid in an Initial Period as set forth in the Certificate.
Reset Reference Rate means, in relation to a Reset Determination Date and subject to Condition 5(b)(iii) and Condition 5(c)(v), if applicable:
Annual Rate of Pay means, as of any date, an employee’s annualized base pay rate. An employee’s Annual Rate of Pay shall not include sales commissions or other similar payments or awards.
Base CD Rate means the sum of (a) the Three-Month Secondary CD Rate multiplied by the Statutory Reserve Rate plus (b) the Assessment Rate.
Compounded Daily Reference Rate means, with respect to an Interest Period, the rate of return of a daily compound interest investment in the Specified Currency (with the applicable Reference Rate (as indicated in the relevant Final Terms and further provided for below) as the reference rate for the calculation of interest) and will be calculated by the Calculation Agent on the Interest Determination Date, as follows, and the resulting percentage will be rounded, if necessary, to the fifth decimal place, with 0.000005 being rounded upwards:
U.S. Base Rate means, on any day, the annual rate of interest equal to the greater of (a) the annual rate of interest announced by a commercial Canadian bank selected by the Lender and in effect as its base rate at its principal office in Toronto, Ontario on such day for determining interest rates on Dollar demand commercial loans in Canada, and (b) the sum of the Federal Funds (Effective) Rate plus 0.50% per annum.
Annual Revenue Rate means the rate employed to assess a compliance penalty charge on a Curtailment Service Provider under Tariff, Attachment DD, section 11.
Index Rate means, for any day, a floating rate equal to the higher of (i) the rate publicly quoted from time to time by The Wall Street Journal as the "base rate on corporate loans posted by at least 75% of the nation's 30 largest banks" (or, if The Wall Street Journal ceases quoting a base rate of the type described, the highest per annum rate of interest published by the Federal Reserve Board in Federal Reserve statistical release H.15 (519) entitled "Selected Interest Rates" as the Bank prime loan rate or its equivalent), and (ii) the Federal Funds Rate plus 50 basis points per annum. Each change in any interest rate provided for in the Agreement based upon the Index Rate shall take effect at the time of such change in the Index Rate.
Heat Rate means the quantity of BTU’s consumed to produce a kilowatt-hour of energy, calculated as follows:

CMS Rate means the applicable swap rate for swap transactions in the Reference Currency with a maturity of the Designated Maturity, expressed as a percentage, which appears on the Relevant Screen Page as at the Specified Time on the relevant Interest Determination Date in question, all as determined by the Calculation Agent.
Original Accrual Rate With respect to each Payment Date and any Reference Obligation, the lesser of (i) the related Accounting Net Yield as of the Cut-off Date; and (ii) the related mortgage rate as of the Cut-off Date minus 0.35%.
Average daily rate means the hospital’s final payment rate multiplied by the DRG weight and divided by the statewide average length of stay for a DRG.
Maximum Legal Rate means the maximum nonusurious interest rate, if any, that at any time or from time to time may be contracted for, taken, reserved, charged or received on the indebtedness evidenced by the Note and as provided for herein or the other Loan Documents, under the laws of such state or states whose laws are held by any court of competent jurisdiction to govern the interest rate provisions of the Loan.
SONIA Reference Rate means, in respect of any London Banking Day, a reference rate equal to the daily Sterling Overnight Index Average ("SONIA") rate for such London Banking Day as provided by the administrator of SONIA to authorised distributors and as then published on the Relevant Screen Page (or if the Relevant Screen Page is unavailable, as otherwise is published by such authorised distributors) on the London Banking Day immediately following such London Banking Day; and
Actual Rate of Pay means, unless and until the Agency Worker has completed the Qualifying Period, the rate of pay which will be paid for all time worked during an Assignment for each hour worked, as set out in the relevant Assignment Details Form;
Nominal Rated Capability means the nominal maximum rated capability in megawatts of a Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Customer Facility or the nominal increase in transmission capability in megawatts of the Transmission System resulting from the interconnection or addition of a Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Customer Facility, as determined in accordance with pertinent Applicable Standards and specified in the Interconnection Service Agreement.
GBP LIBOR means, in respect of a day, the rate for deposits in pounds sterling for a period of 12 months which appears on Bloomberg Page BP0012M INDEX for that day, or, if not available, ascertained from any other source as the Margin Loan Provider may deem appropriate
Five-year U.S. Treasury Rate means, as of any Reset Dividend Determination Date, as applicable, (i) an interest rate (expressed as a decimal) determined to be the per annum rate equal to the arithmetic mean of the five most recent daily yields to maturity for U.S. Treasury securities with a maturity of five years from the next Reset Date and trading in the public securities markets or (ii) if there is no such published U.S. Treasury security with a maturity of five years from the next Reset Date and trading in the public securities markets, then the rate will be determined by interpolation between the arithmetic mean of the five most recent daily yields to maturity for each of the two series of U.S. Treasury securities trading in the public securities market, (A) one maturing as close as possible to, but earlier than, the Reset Date following the next succeeding Reset Dividend Determination Date, and (B) the other maturity as close as possible to, but later than, the Reset Date following the next succeeding Reset Dividend Determination Date, in each case as published in the most recent H.15. If the Five-year U.S. Treasury Rate cannot be determined pursuant to the methods described in clauses (i) or (ii) above, then the Five-year U.S. Treasury Rate will be the same interest rate determined for the prior Reset Dividend Determination Date.
Final rate of pay means the actual rate upon which earnings of an employee were calculated during the twelve (12) month period immediately preceding the member's effective retirement date, and shall include employee contributions picked up after August 1, 1982, pursuant to KRS 78.610(4). The rate shall be certified to the system by the employer and the following equivalents shall be used to convert the rate to an annual rate: two thousand eighty (2,080) hours for eight (8) hour workdays, one thousand nine hundred fifty (1,950) hours for seven and one-half (7.5) hour workdays, two hundred sixty (260) days, fifty-two (52) weeks, twelve (12) months, one (1) year;
Interest Rate shall have the meaning assigned to such term or analogous term in the Mortgage Loan Agreement.
CMT Rate means, in relation to a Reset Period and the Reset Determination Date in relation to such Reset Period, the rate determined by the Calculation Agent, and expressed as a percentage, equal to:
Minimum Weighted Average Coupon Test means a test that is satisfied on any date of determination if the Weighted Average Fixed Coupon equals or exceeds the Minimum Fixed Coupon.
