Meal Allowance definition

Meal Allowance means an allowance that is provided to assist with meal costs for clients travelling away from home.

Meal Allowance when any employee covered by this Agreement is required to work at least two hours overtime (as defined in Article 14.02), the employee shall be entitled to a maximum meal allowance of $14.00 on each such occasion. Itemized receipts for meals must be submitted for reimbursement.

Meal Allowance. A meal allowance is also payable to an employee who: • is required, after the completion of the employee's ordinary hours of duty for the day, to perform duty after a break for a meal which occurs after that completion and is not entitled to payment for that break • is required to perform duty before the commencement of ordinary hours of duty, breaks for a meal and is not entitled to payment for that break • is required to perform duty on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, in addition to the employee's ordinary hours of duty, extending beyond a meal break and is not entitled to payment for that meal break • is required to perform duty for a continuous period of at least one hour outside standard hours, or • is required to perform duty for a continuous period to the completion of, or beyond a meal period.
Meal Allowance. When an employee is required to and does work for three (3) or more hours of overtime after his normal shift he shall be provided with a hot meal or five (5) dollars ($5.00) if the Hospital is unable to provide the meal or has been unable to schedule a meal break during the overtime period.
