Medical or Health Professional definition

Medical or Health Professional means qualified practitioner of the art and science of medicine including the traditional medicine or any such professionals in the field of health care. The termsmedical professional’ and ‘health professional’ may be used inter- changeably.
Medical or Health Professional means practitioner of the art and science of medicine or professionals in the field of health and health care who are duly authorized to do so by the Council.

  • Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.
