MSR definition

MSR means a mortgage servicing right. An MSR provides a mortgage servicer with the right to service a mortgage loan or a pool of mortgages in exchange for a portion of the interest payments made on the mortgage or the underlying mortgages. An MSR is made up of two components: a basic servicing fee and an Excess MSR. The basic servicing fee is the amount of compensation for the performance of servicing duties.

MSR means mortgage servicing rights (including master servicing rights and excess mortgage servicing rights) entitling the holder to service mortgage loans.

The MSR with added Offeror information shall be returned with Offeror’s proposal.

MSR means, with respect to any person, mortgage servicing rights (including master servicing rights and excess mortgage servicing rights) entitling the holder to service mortgage loans, including, for the avoidance of doubt, the right of such person to receive cash flows in its capacity as servicer of any Receivable or pool of Receivables, and any interests in such right including participation certificates or excess fee strips, together with any assets related thereto that are of the type transferred in connection with securitization transactions involving assets such as, or similar to, MSRs, and any collections or proceeds thereof, including all contracts and contract rights, security interests, financing statements or other documentation in respect of such MSRs, all general intangibles under or arising out of or relating to such MSRs, and any guarantees, indemnities, warranties or other obligations in respect of such MSRs. For the avoidance of doubt, for purposes of determining the amount of a MSR at any time, such amount shall be determined in accordance with GAAP, consistently applied, as of the most recent practicable date.
