Network Element definition

Network Element is As Defined in the Act.
Network Element means a facility or equipment used in the provision of a Telecommunications Service. Such term also includes features, functions, and capabilities that are provided by means of such facility or equipment, including subscriber numbers, databases, signaling systems, and information sufficient for billing and collection or used in the transmission, routing, or other provision of a Telecommunications Service.
Network Element is defined to mean a facility or equipment provided by BellSouth on an unbundled basis as is used by the CLEC in the provision of a telecommunications service. These unbundled network elements are consistent with the requirements of the FCC 51.319 rule. For purposes of this Agreement, combinations of Network Elements shall be referred to as “Combinations.”

  • The Parties agree to negotiate an amendment to this Agreement to conform the Agreement with the UNE Remand Order and this Agreement shall be amended accordingly to reflect the pricing, terms and conditions relating to each such Unbundled Network Element within the time frame(s) specified for providing access as set forth in the UNE Remand.

  • IX.4.1 The quality of an unbundled Network Element as well as the quality of the access to such unbundled Network Element that Ameritech provides to Requesting Carrier shall be the same for all Telecommunications Carriers requesting access to such Network Element.

  • Any request by Requesting Carrier for access to a Network Element that is not otherwise provided by the terms of this Agreement at the time of such request shall be made pursuant to a Bona Fide Request and shall be subject to the payment by Requesting Carrier of all applicable costs in accordance with Section 252(d)(1) of the Act to process such request and to develop, install and provide access to such Network Element.

  • IX.5.5 When Ameritech receives an order for access to an unbundled Network Element or Elements (including conversion of certain special access circuits) from Requesting Carrier for the provision of local exchange Telecommunications Services for Requesting Carrier’s Customer, and that Customer is currently provided local exchange Telecommunications Services by another carrier (“Carrier of Record”) Ameritech shall notify such Carrier of Record of such order in the same manner as described in Section 10.11.

  • IX.5.3 Prior to submitting an order for access to a Network Element which replaces, in whole or in part, a service offered by Ameritech or any other telecommunications provider for which Ameritech changes a primary Local Exchange Carrier (“PLEC”), Requesting Carrier shall comply with the requirements of Section 10.11.1.

Network Element means any component of a transmission system, including interconnectors, or of a distribution system, including a closed distribution system, such as a single line, a single circuit, a single HVDC system, a single transformer, a single phase-shifting transformer, or a voltage compensation installation;
Network Element means a facility or equipment used in supplying a telecommunications service, including features, functions and capabilities provided by means of that facility or equipment;
Network Element means an asset that is part of or connected to a transmission or distribution network including but not limited to grid elements, generation units, and loads;
Network Element is defined to mean a facility or equipment ONS used in the provision of a qualifying service, as defined by the FCC. ONS may not access a Network Element for the sole purpose of providing non-qualifying services as defined by the FCC. For purposes of this Agreement, combinations of Network Elements shall be referred to as “Combinations.”
