Nuclear installation means for each Contracting Party any land-based civil nuclear power plant under its jurisdiction including such storage, handling and treatment facilities for radioactive materials as are on the same site and are directly related to the operation of the nuclear power plant. Such a plant ceases to be a nuclear installation when all nuclear fuel elements have been removed permanently from the reactor core and have been stored safely in accordance with approved procedures, and a decommissioning programme has been agreed to by the regulatory body.
Nuclear installation means (a) anything defined as a ‘Nuclear Installation’ in the Nuclear Installations Act 1965, the Paris Convention (Convention on Third Party Liability in the Field of Nuclear Energy of 29th July 1960, as subsequently amended) or the Vienna Convention (Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage); (b) any vessel or means of transport incorporating a nuclear reactor; or (c) any other facility or site containing a nuclear reactor or storing or handling any nuclear fuel or waste. “Products” means those goods which Rotork is to supply in accordance with the Contract.
