Offer of Appointment definition

Offer of Appointment means a contractual Offer of Appointment for a Graduate Assistantship made in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. Any Graduate Assistantship funding opportunities identified in an offer of admission to the student’s program of study do not in themselves guarantee an Offer of Appointment to a Graduate Assistantship.
Offer of Appointment means a job offer made to the successful candidate.
Offer of Appointment means the act of the Commission in making an Appointment which may be conditioned upon the Candidate’s successful completion of Post-Offer Tests.

Examples of Offer of Appointment in a sentence

  • Cause includes but is not limited to: a change in the student’s registration status; the student’s failure to perform to academic standards in their program of study; and/or failure to meet the requirements of the Offer of Appointment.

  • Appointments are effected annually by issuance of an Offer of Appointment letter to the member of the bargaining unit by the unit administrator, as is appropriate and customary for the academic unit or regional campus offering appointment.

  • An Offer of Appointment may include more than one appointment category, subject to the tenets of this Agreement.

  • The Departments shall provide new employees with the electronic address for the Agreement, and shall provide where requested by an employee for reasons of accessibility a printed copy of the current Agreement at the same time as the Offer of Appointment (as per 11.07 (b)) is sent to the employee.

  • The office of the Appointing Administrator will give a copy of the accepted Offer of Appointment to the student and add a copy to the student’s employment file.

  • This Offer of Appointment can be terminated by either side, by giving one month’s notice during the probation period or three months’ notice after confirmation or basic salary in lieu of the notice period.

  • All disputes arising out of or in connection with the employment of this Offer of Appointment Letter shall be settled, if possible by amicable negotiation between you and the Company.

  • This Offer of Appointment is valid for 15 days from the date of this email.

Related to Offer of Appointment

  • Power of appointment means a power that enables a powerholder acting in a nonfiduciary capacity to designate a recipient of an ownership interest in or another power of appointment over the appointive property. The term does not include a power of attorney.

  • Letter of Appointment means the written communication by SAICA to the Contractor recording the acceptance by SAICA of Contractor’s bid subject to the further terms and conditions to be itemized in the contract;

  • General power of appointment means a power of appointment exercisable in favor of the powerholder, the powerholder's estate, a creditor of the powerholder, or a creditor of the powerholder's estate.

  • Initial appointment means appointment made otherwise than by promotion or transfer;

In the event an academic employee is employed full-time as a temporary academic employee and the next year with a probationary appointment as an academic employee, the consecutive College quarters in which the individual was so employed full-time shall be credited towards tenure consideration.

  • Appointment means the appointment of any Seller to act in a Corporate Trust Capacity under any of the Corporate Trust Contracts of the Business.

  • Verification on oath or affirmation means a declaration, made by an individual on oath or affirmation before a notarial officer, that a statement in a record is true.
