Examples of Pet dealer in a sentence
The definitions in this section apply5 throughout this chapter unless the context clearly requires otherwise.6 (1) "Animal" means a dog, cat, or bird of any age.7 (2) "Pet breeder" means any person, business, or other entity that8 breeds animals for direct or indirect sale to the public.9 (3) "Pet dealer" means any person, business, or other entity,10 including pet breeder, that sells more than twenty animals or three11 litters, whichever is greater, in a twelve-month period.
Pet dealer (or pet dealership) means any person who advertises or engages in the sale of one or more litters of dogs or cats per year to the public.
Pet dealer and/or breeders shall designate and provide an isolation area for the animals that exhibit symptoms of or are known to be harboring a contagious disease or illness.
Id. §§ 14-56, 14-57.Article II defines a “pet dealer” as follows: Pet dealer means any person who in the ordinary course of business engages in the sale of more than two litters, or 20 dogs or cats, per year, whichever is greater, to the public.
