Petroleum Substances definition

Petroleum Substances means petroleum, natural gas, natural gas liquids, related hydrocarbons and any and all other substances, whether liquid, solid or gaseous, whether hydrocarbons or not, produced or producible in association with any of the foregoing.

Petroleum Substances means petroleum, natural gas, sulphur and every other mineral or substance, or any of them, the right to explore for which, or an interest in which, is granted pursuant to the Leases, insofar only as they pertain to the Lands.

Petroleum Substances means any of crude oil, crude bitumen and products derived therefrom, synthetic crude oil, petroleum, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and any and all other substances related to any of the foregoing, whether liquid, solid or gaseous, and whether hydrocarbons or not, including without limitation sulphur;

Examples of Petroleum Substances in a sentence

• For the purposes of Subsection 273(1) of the Excise Tax Act or other applicable Regulations imposing refundable taxes in the nature of value added tax, goods and services tax or other sales taxes, the authority granted under this Agreement with respect to the handling of any refundable taxes by the Operator also covers any marketing arrangements between the Operator and any other Parties under which the Operator agrees to market production of Petroleum Substances on behalf of any such other Parties.

• Petroleum Substances so used or lost shall be excluded when quantifying the Overriding Royalty.

• Notwithstanding the preceding Subclause (a), there shall be no liability of one Party to another under that Subclause for consequential, indirect, punitive or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, opportunity costs, reservoir or formation damage, the inability to produce Petroleum Substances or a delay in their production, except insofar as the damaged Party is legally determined to be responsible for any such damages suffered by a third party.

• Such lien shall not attach to the Grantor's share of Petroleum Substances sold or otherwise disposed of from the Royalty Lands, but immediately upon default occurring in payment by the Grantor of monies payable to the Royalty Owner such lien shall operate as an assignment to the Royalty Owner of the consideration thereafter payable to the Royalty Owner for the Petroleum Substances sold, up to the amount owed to the Royalty Owner and not so paid by the Grantor.

• Grantor shall not be liable to Royalty Owner for Petroleum Substances which are unavoidably lost.
