Privacy Shield definition

Privacy Shield means the European Union (EU) -U.S. and Switzerland – U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks.
Privacy Shield means the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework self- certification program operated by the U.S. Department of Commerce and approved by the European Commission pursuant to Decision C(2016)4176 of 12 July 2016 and by the Swiss Federal Council on January 11, 2017 respectively.

Privacy Shield means the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework; and
Privacy Shield means the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield self-certification program operated by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Privacy Shield means – with regard to Controllers located within the EEA – the European Union / United States Privacy Shield arrangement or – with regard to Controllers located in Switzerland – the Switzerland / United States Privacy Shield arrangement.
Privacy Shield means the EU-US framework of privacy principles agreed on February 2, 2016 and formally adopted by the European Commission implementing decision C(2016) 4176 final of July 12, 2016, or any other framework for transferring Personal Data from the EEA or Switzerland to the United States that is approved by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of protection pursuant to the EU Rules.
Privacy Shield means the Privacy Shield scheme and principles operated by the US Department of Commerce, and approved by the European Commission, or any replacement scheme and principles approved by the European Commission for that purpose from time to time;
Privacy Shield means Commission Implementing Decision of 12.7.2016 pursuant to Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the adequacy of the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield (C(2016) 4176 final);
